After advising the publisher that I had received from Herr Randolf Kugler an extensive collection of material on the Küstenjäger, it was decided to make this volume primarily a photo study of the 'specialized' equipment utilized by German ground forces during the war. Particular attention has been devoted to the Küstenjägers of the Division 'Brandenburg' since there has been no other Wehrmacht unit which has had so many sensationalized 'histories' written about it.
