U. S. Navy Department. Civil War Naval Chronology 1861-1865. Washington, DC Department of the Navy 1971 First Edition Hardcover Very Good Compiled by Naval History Division, Navy Department. Various pagination (approximately 1200 pages) , very well illustrated, maps, charts, cloth, 8-1/2 by 11 inches, very good. From the preface by Vice Admiral Edwin B. Hooper: "Concurrently with nationwide observances of the Civil War Centennial, the Naval History Division published the Civil War Naval Chronology, 1861-1865. It was made available between 1961 and 1965 in five paperback Parts each covering one year of the conflict. These were followed in 1966 by a Part VI containing a cumulative index, several excellent eyewitness accounts, and other significant articles of considerable interest. ~ In the years following publication of the final Chronology part, the desirability of bringing the whole together in one bound book has been evident. This we have now done. It is essentially as originally published. Corrections have been made, a few illustrations changed, and, as previously noted, summaries are deleted. " Price:

U.S. NAVY Letter from the Secretary of the Navy, transmitting a statement of contracts made by the Navy Department during the year 1816. January 14, 1817... Washington, William A. Davis 1817 Unbound 4 pages, 1 folding table, paper, very good. This was removed from a larger volume. These smaller pamphlets were usually combined in a volume under the heading of Miscellaneous". These volumes usually held documents from a wide variety of government departments i.e. U.S. Post Office, Treasury Department, Maritime Disaster Fund, and so on. In other words, the documents are usually unrelated to each other. Therefore it is best to separate them and sell them individually. This document is larger than today's documents and measures 8 by 13 inches. It mainly consists of a title page, a brief note from Speaker of the House Crowninshield and a large folding table entitled "STATEMENT of the contracts made by the United States' Navy Department, in 1816." The document is excellent condition for its age. Price:
