1 U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Paint manual for the control of protective coatings and their application. Second edition.
Denver, Department of the Interior, 1961 Hard Cover Very Good
At head of title: United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation. Xvi, 262 pages, illustrations, clot, very good. Second edition. First edition published in 1951 under title: Paint manual for the central of paints and painting. From the preface: "The technology of protective coatings has accelerated spectacularly, resulting in the development of a wide variety of new resins suitable for coatings. The industry has marketed new products for many exposures, such as clear silicones for dampproofing, latex paints for masonry, and modified epoxy resins for underwater coatings and coatings exposed to chemical environments. These efforts will inevitably bear fruit in coming years as significantly better coating performance is realized. The new materials now in use by the Bureau, as well as other promising materials, are discussed in this new edition of the Paint Manual. However, it will be noted that many paints used 10 years ago (when the first edition was printed) are still recommended, and their selection rests upon solidly established service."
