2 Demaison, Gerard and Buffetaut, Yves Honour Bound: Chauchat Machine Rifle.
Cobourg, Ontario Collector Grade Publications 1995 0889351902 / 9780889351905 Hardcover Very Good in Very Good dust jacket
Xvi, 209 pages, well illustrated, diagrams, cloth, DJ, very good. 8 by 11 inches. Produced and edited by R. Blake Stevens. From the dust jacket: When the need for a portable machine rifle became urgent in 1915, the only existing arm in 8mm Lebel caliber was the prewar CS (Chauchat-Sutter) , based on John Browning's long barrel recoil system, small numbers of which were employed by French aviation. From this Colonel Chauchat hurriedly produced the Modele 1915 Infantry CSRG (Chauchat) , designed fo rapid mass production. Often maligned today, the CSRG was nevertheless the best available weapon for specialist anti-machinegun a d forward defence duties. , , The CSRG was, in spite of its limitations, the world's first successful assault rifle and the most manufactured automatic weapon of WWI. Over 260,000 were manufactured, outdistancing every other automatic arm made by the Allies and the Central Powers. ; 209 pages

3 Buffetaut, Yves La Bataille De Koursk. (Armes Militaria Magazine 44 and 47)
Paris Histoire & Collections 2002 Softcover Very Good
Two volumes (81 and 81 pages) , well illustrated (some in color) , maps, pictorial wrappers, 8 by 12 inches, fine. Text in French. Dessins en couleurs de Jean Restayn. Infographies de Denis Gille. From the Wikipedia website: "The Battle of Kursk or Kursk Campaign (July 4 - July 20, 1943) , also called Operation Citadel by the German Army, was a major battle on the Eastern Front of World War II and the last German blitzkrieg offensive in the east as well as the last German offensive of such scale in the war. The exact definition of the battle varies: the Germans saw it as comprising Operation Citadel only, while the Soviets considered (and Russians today consider) it to include Citadel and the subsequent Soviet counteroffensives, Operation Kutuzov and Operation Polkovodets Rumyantsev. Overall, the campaign, which included the famous sub-battle at Prokhorovka, remains both the largest armored engagement and the most costly single day of aerial warfare to date. " EDG_415

9 Buffetaut, Yves Operation Torch Novembre 1942 (Armes Militaria Magazine 20)
Paris Histoire & Collections 1996 Softcover Very Good
La campagne d'afrique du nord (1). 81 pages, well illustrated (some in color) , maps, pictorial wrappers, 8 by 12 inches, fine. Text in French. Dessins en couleurs de Jean Restayn. Operation Torch November 1942. Excellent illustrations with many profiles in color of aircraft, tanks, vehicles and guns. From the Wikipedia website: "Operation Torch (initially called Operation Gymnast) was the British-American invasion of French North Africa in World War II during the North African Campaign, started 8 November 1942. The Soviet Union had pressed the United States and Britain to start operations in Europe, and open a second front to reduce the pressure of German forces on the Russian troops. While the American commanders favored Operation Sledgehammer, landing in Occupied Europe as soon as possible, the British commanders believed that such a course would end in disaster. An attack on French North Africa was proposed instead, which would clear the Axis Powers from North Africa, improve naval control of the Mediterranean Sea, and prepare an invasion of Southern Europe in 1943. American President Franklin Delano Roosevelt suspected the African operation would rule out an invasion of Europe in 1943 but agreed to support British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
