SCOTT, ALLAN Joy To the world. A comedy drama in three acts. As produced at the Plymouth Theatre from 3/18/48 to 7/3/1948, Joy to the World ran a total of 124 performances, starred Alfred Drake and Marsha Hunt and was directed by Jules Dassin. It was also produced for the Ford Theatre and was aired 11/21/48 starring Eddie Albert and Janet Blair. Allan Scott (1906-1995), born in Arlington, NJ, was nominated in 1943 for an Academy Award for So Proudly We Hail. A collection of his scripts and screenplays (circa 1935-1960) resides in the Theatre Collection at Harvard. Other notable movies for which he did the screenplays include Follow the Fleet, Shall We Dance, The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. Lucky Partners and Quality Street. Price:
