Being a bird's-eye view of the people, the institutions, the facts, and fancies that attracted the attention and sympathy of Alexander Woollcott in the past ten years. Oliver Wendell Holmes appears twice in these pages -- once in the company of Abraham Lincoln and once at a meeting with Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
