Dennis Adams, Superior Court Judge in San Diego, California, has shown an active interest in court reform since his earliest appointment to the bench in 1975 when he began serving as a San Diego Municipal Judge. Promoted to Superior Court in 1970, he became Presiding Juvenile Judge two years later and held the position until 1981. Adams has served as Chairman of the State Judges' Association Juvenile Justice Committee and was honored as Judge of the Year in 1986 by the San Diego Trial Lawyer's Association. At forty-five he has been married twenty years to his wife Cathy, and has three children. Adams currently presides over trials and settlements as a civil judge in the San Diego Superior Court.'
